What is Airgent™?

Airgent™ is a safe, long-term skin remodeling treatment that reverses the visible signs of aging and makes your skin appear younger immediately following treatment. Natural BiAction™ technology uses a mechanical process to augment collagen generation, thickening and revitalizing the skin and leaving it feeling smoother, well-hydrated and supple.

What are the benefits of Airgent™?

Unlike laser technologies or chemical methods the Airgent™ system delivers immediate aesthetic effect. Proprietary BiAction™ technology produces a double acting mechanical effect; first laterally introducing Hyaluronic Acid molecules to the dermis to facilitate absorption and retention. This produces immediate aesthetic improvement and makes the skin appear fuller, hydrated and rejuvenated. By the time this temporary effect subsides, over several months, the dermis-healing action phase sets into motion the long-term collagen remodeling effect, resulting in stronger, more youthful looking skin and long-lasting results.

Has Airgent been clinically proven?

Clinical trials and peer-reviewed publications show that the strong, controlled collagen-generating trauma induced by the Airgent™ treatment facilitates mechanical stress to the fibroblasts – which respond by producing more collagen. This mechanical stretching is far superior to existing injection methods, and performed with very high-precision. The accelerated, lateral dispersion of a skin enhancing agent (high-molecular mass natural Hyaluronic Acid) increases the contact area to reach a larger, more uniform coverage area. The result: augmented collagen production, stimulated growth factors and inhibited collagen breakdown for long-lasting, uniform results.

When will I see results?

The precise, novel BiAction™ technology enables a rapid, immediate aesthetic effect that can be enjoyed almost right away. The initial entry spots decrease in size in up to three hours following treatment. These tiny entry-points can be concealed with make-up. Most patients report significant improvements in skin thickness, firmness and tone already two-three days after treatment.

What does the Airgent™ treatment feel like?

During treatment, most patients report a minor “impact” or pressure sensation or no sensation at all. Some physicians may elect to apply a topical anesthetic cream twentyto thirty minutes prior to treatment. While the Airgent™ system does emit noise on operation, which may contribute to a certain degree of hesitation or fear – but is in now way related to any discomfort.

How much do Airgent™ treatments cost?

The price of the Airgent™ procedures varies according to treatment area and size. During the pretreatment consultation, your physician can help you plan an optimal treatment plan. In general, a treatment protocol can range from £300 for a very small area to £3000 for larger areas.

How many treatments will I need?

Most practitioners recommend a series of three treatments. However, this varies significantly between specific applications, skin thickness and other factors.

How long will the remodeling effect last?

One follow-up treatment is usually recommended after 12 to 18 months.

Can I use Airgent™ if I previously undergone a laser treatment or a chemical peel?

It is recommended to wait until the area is totally healed and the skin is back to its normal condition.

Is there any downtime with Airgent™?

Immediately following treatments, you may see a few small whitish papules. These usually subside within three hours. The morning after treatment there may some tiny entry-points that are visible, but these are easily concealed with make-up. These spots usually fully-heal within three to four days. The non-thermal, non-chemical mechanical effect causes no bruising or peeling.

Are there any side effects to the Airgent™ treatment?

The Airgent™ procedure has an excellent safety record, far superior to that of laser and other thermal procedures, as well as chemical peels. Because the Airgent™ BiAction™ technology produces a mechanical effect rather than a thermal one, there is no risk of burning or scarring.

Are there any risks from the Airgent™ treatment?

A few common, allergic-related reactions have been reported following treatment. These typically resolve spontaneously within one or two days after the treatment. If such a reaction occurs, it is advised to discontinue treatment. These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the application site. Hematomas are not common yet may occur and disappear within a week (depending on each individual’s healing response). Following an upper lip treatment, the lip may be swollen for several days.
