To see Dr Hugo Kitchen give an informative talk about Macrolane and all its clinical and safety aspects, TYPE the following into your web browser; www.warblefly.com/video/stratfordhugo.mov
MacrolaneTM VRF 20 & 30 are sterile transparent and viscous gels that are injected subcutaneously to add volume to tissue and to restore the body's natural contours. The gels are stabilized Hyaluronic acid created by Q-Med's patented NASHATM technology. The safety of NASHATM gels have been shown repeatedly in many trials and backed up by extensive clinical experience.
NASHATM gels have been used effectively in facial aesthetic treatments to augment and lift the upper cheeks, to restore chins and also to treat lipodystrophy syndrome. A recent study to explore the efficacy, duration and effect of MacrolaneTM gels for contouring concave body Deformities, showed that there were no serious adverse events reported, and the majority were mild to moderate and transient in nature, all to do with the physical part of the injection procedure and not the gel per se.
MacrolaneTM - Volume Restoration Factor (VRF) Macrolane gels can be used in those areas of the body where it is desirable to restore volume in a graceful, natural looking manner. Macrolane VRF30 and VRF20 have been specifically formulated with a unique combination of viscosity and particle size to accommodate different levels of tissue support. They can be used in conjunction to create the suitable restoration in different parts of the body.

The low VRF value is suitable for areas of the body with less tissue support and cover. It is designed for more superficial subcutaneous injection. Macrolane VRF20 is intended for applications where a less thick formulation would work better and present a smoother appearance on the surface.
The high VRF value indicates a thicker gel suitable for areas of the body with substantial tissue support and cover. Macrolane VRF30 is intended for deep subcutaneous or supra periosteal administration. It is designed for use where sufficient tissue support exists to avoid implant palpability eg the breast.
Reshaping of both breasts would be in the region of £3000 with a top-up planned at twelve months from £1000
Whilst "Permanent" implants cost around double this, the MACROLANETM reshaping procedure does not require:-
It is also less likely to result in any infection and importantly can be remodelled and shaped at any time.
If you have an "A"-cup and would like to progress to a "B", or a "B"-cup and progress toward a "C" the MACROLANETM could be the answer for you. Often after pregnancy the breast can lose volume and descend with flattening of the upper pole and MACROLANETM can be used to re-shape/model this tissue loss.
Also if you are lacking in tissue volume anywhere then MACROLANETM can enhance it to gracefully reshape to your requirements, eg dimples in the thighs or post liposuction surgery, or to achieve a better 'round' of the buttock.
Dr Kitchen has received the relevant training from Q-Med in Sweden and is certified to perform this procedure.
MACROLANE is the first product approved to be used in the field of body/breast augmentations, for example asymmetries after liposuction. The approval is an important step in the development of the product and MACROLANE will now be further documented together with leading plastic surgeons in the field

TESTIMONIALS
I've felt incredibly self conscious about my breasts for a long time which has affected my self confidence considerably. I decided to do something about it this year and started to research different breast procedures but gave up after realizing that it was too expensive for me. It was purely by chance that I read through a local magazine and read about Stratford Skin Care Clinic and Macrolane. I was hopeful but doubted that Macrolane would make any real difference as was sure I would have to go under the knife to obtain the breasts I desired.
Deciding that I had nothing to lose, I sent an initial email inquiry and received a prompt response back with comprehensive information about the treatment. From there, I made an appointment which I was really nervous about attending. Doctor Kitchen was very welcoming, down to earth and made me feel at ease instantly. He talked me through the procedure and answered any questions I had. He informed me that the tube that is inserted under the breast can reach quite high and give definition to the upper pole of the breast. It was because of this information that I decided to go ahead with the procedure and also because it was so much more affordable that any other breast treatment.
I was really apprehensive when I arrived for the procedure but again Doctor Kitchen and his partner Karen were there to reassure me and make me feel relaxed. Throughout the procedure they asked me to tell them to stop if I was in any discomfort. I would say that I experienced mild discomfort but in my opinion, it was really not an issue and when I saw the end result, any feelings of discomfort disappeared straight away! It is a slightly bizarre sensation having the tube inserted but seeing my breasts increasing in size before my very eyes was well worth any strange sensation.
It's amazing to think that with regular breast surgery you are unable to exercise etc for 3 months. Yet here I was after an hour's procedure up and off driving my car and out shopping with my new, full, shapely breasts barely able to wipe the smile from my face!
I experienced a little discomfort during the first week particularly at night but I completed my course of antibiotics and took some Ibuprofen which really helped. I was also back at the gym after 2 weeks without any problems.
I'm absolutely thrilled to bits with the results which have vastly exceeded any expectations I had and am really pleased that I opted for this treatment. I now have full, firm breasts which actually feel like real breast tissue. Shopping for lingerie is exciting again and am now able to wear tops that I never dreamed I'd be able to wear! This procedure has given me a new confidence and I'm really grateful to Doctor Kitchen and his team for their professionalism, sensitivity and understanding. I urge anyone who feels self conscious about their breasts like I didto be brave and take that first step and go for a consultation. Thank you, thank you, thank you! AW
My Experience of Macrolane. Kelly Ringsdore
"I have always been self conscious of my breast as they were a 32A. Whenever I went shopping for clothes I could never buy certain tops or dresses especially ones that had no straps because I always had to wear a bra with chicken fillets to fill out the top. I had many embarrassing experiences with my chicken fillets falling out or poking out the side of my tops. I have always wanted to do something about them but was never prepared to go under the knife to get breast implants done. I then heard of the procedure Macrolane. I then started doing a lot of research into as it did not seem possible that I could have bigger breast by an injection in 45 minutes and be able to get on with every day things straight away. I went to my doctor and he said it was perfectly safe. As I live in the Channel Islands no body over here does the procedure so I started to look at clinics that did them in the UK which would be easy for me to get to. I came across the Skin Care Clinic and got in touch with them by email to get some information off them. With in an hour I had a reply from Dr Kitchen he told me everything that they do how it’s done and what to expect. After much thought I rang the clinic where I spoke to the receptionist, she was very helpful because I explained that I had to fly out and get there. I was expecting to be put on a long waiting list but they managed to fit me in within 2 weeks of me phoning because I could only do weekends and they were the only days that I could fly out. Because I had never been to Stratford upon Avon I didn’t know where to go how to get there any everyone at the clinic helped me out suggesting ways to get there. The day of the procedure. I arrive at Birmingham airport, very excited but very scared. I got in the taxi and arrived at the clinic stepped inside and was greeted by Karen who told me to take a seat and will be with me shortly (I had my mum with me so she was holding my hand). We got taken upstairs where I met Dr Kitchen and had my consultation. From the moment we stepped into the clinic it was such a welcoming and calm atmosphere and I felt at ease constantly. After the consultation I was lying down very nervous but was put at ease by both Dr Kitchen and his partner Carron. I told them that I was scared of needles and when Dr Kitchen gave me the anaesthetic Carron was holding my hand constantly talking to me to keep my mind off the injection. Once I was all numb Dr Kitchen started the procedure, he was telling me everything that he was about to do and again Carron stood by my side holding my hand. At first the feeling was very bizarre didn’t feel much. Then the plastic tube broke through the breast tissue which was slightly uncomfortable but nothing to bad. As the Macrolane was being put in again there was a strange sensation but it was over in a matter of minutes. Once he had done one breast he sat me up to have a look at the difference (atthis point I wasfeeling a bit faint because I am a wimp as it comes to needles) I was shocked and I was smiling like you wouldn’t believe. Carron gave me some water and wiped my head and began again. After half an hour of the whole procedure I was sitting up just staring at my breast I couldn’t believe that I actually had breasts and big ones!! Dr Kitchen told me I was a B cup now. I still can’t get over that after half an hour I went a cup size bigger and was able to get on with every day things! Dr Kitchen sat me down after I had been bouncing off the walls and explained about the course of antibiotics and everything I needed to know about the aftercare. I was actually quite sad that I had to leave but said goodbye and went straight to the pub. After Macrolane – As the anaesthetic started to wear off I started to feel a bit of pain. But I kept taking ibuprofen which was easing the pain. The first night was uncomfortable to sleep because again I was in pain but my usual sleeping position is on my stomach and I had to be lying on my back. The next day I was flying back to the Channel Islands and everything was fine again I was still in a bit of pain but what can you expect? When I landed Dr Kitchen had tried phoning me but my phone was off and had a lovely message making sure that I was ok and that I was happy with everything. After 2 days I had no pain what so ever and was back at work feeling incredible I was wearing tops that I couldn’t wear before and they were even starting to feel like normally breast as well. One week later they were back to normal I was wearing my new bra’s that I had brought and kept looking in the mirror making sure that they were real and that I hadn’t dreamt all of this. I would advise any body who is thinking about doing this is DO IT. Ring up organise a consultation and when you meet everyone at the clinic you will just feel so relaxed and at ease. The clinic is very homely its nothing like what you would expect if you were going in for a procedure the one thing that I found lovely was that they had music in the back ground to help you relax. I have to say I have never met people like them and I couldn’t have asked for much nicer people to have done this for me. Thank you so much again you have made me feel so special.".

TESTIMONIAL Steffi Wilde
" Having toyed with the idea of silicon implants for several years I was quickly drawn to an article about an injectable breast filler called Macrolane. Everything about it suggested a much less intrusive procedure which could deliver the results I wanted quickly and comfortably. As an almost B cup girl, I had always envied my better endowed girl friends whose clothes always seemed to fit them better and thought that C or D cup would give me the shape I wanted. On paper at least, Macrolane offered the exact solution I was seeking. Having done my internet research, I contacted one of Macrolane’s preferred surgeons at the Stratford Skincare Clinic by email and quickly received an invitation to an initial consultation with Doctor Hugo Kitchen. I was very warmly welcomed at the consultation by Carron, Doctor Kitchen’s wife, who works with him as nurse/aftercare in the practice. I found it a great comfort to have another woman present who totally empathised with my thoughts and fears. Both Hugo and Carron were totally professional, charming and reassuring from the outset and I felt I was in totally safe hands. I made my decision to go ahead with the procedure at the consultation and made a booking for four weeks ahead. Though I had no doubts about the ease and effectiveness of the procedure, I was a little nervous about driving home afterwards. Carron was so confident that it would not be a problem that she offered to drive me home but I ended up take a friend along instead. I really need not have bothered. Doctor Kitchen described the process in great detail and then prepared me and the operating area with meticulous care and attention to hygiene. The injection sensation was merely strange rather than painful or uncomfortable but the results were immediate and incredible to witness. After about 10 minutes of injections and gentle moulding manipulation to each breast I was able to sit up and see the results for myself. I couldn’t stop smiling from then until I got home and paraded myself in the bathroom for ten minutes unable to believe that this new curvier shape was me. Over the course of the next week I followed the aftercare advice carefully and now nearly three months I have not experienced any problems at all and am totally delighted with the results. I have even updated my wardrobe and now wear the clothes I had always wanted but didn’t have the confidence to wear. I since have recommended several girl friends to Doctor Hugo Kitchen and will definitely be going back to him for any follow up procedures. Steffi Wilde 9 September 2008
